After a transformative summer building Olanzo's foundation in Costa Rica, Niklas Lind is stepping into a permanent leadership role to drive the next phase of our launch. Effective 1 October, he will serve as Chief Operations Officer in Mayanor Ventures and General Manager of Olanzo Costa Rica.

Niklas first joined as an advisor and investor, supporting the early rollout of Mayanor’s payment and loyalty app, Olanzo. Now, he will lead operations, shape the commercial strategy, and guide the company into its next stage of growth in his dual leadership role.

With more than 20 years of experience scaling high-growth companies across three continents, including leadership roles at WOM Chile and Telenor Asia, Niklas brings deep expertise in building strong teams and bringing innovative products to market – experience that now strengthens both Mayanor and Olanzo.

“Niklas brings proven success from every market he’s worked in, along with a deep commitment to building meaningful customer experiences. He’s a value-driven leader, sharp in his thinking, and easy to collaborate with. His perspective will be a great asset as we continue to grow the company and shape our offering for the Latin American market,” says Christopher Laska, Chairman of the Board, Mayanor Ventures.

Niklas will divide his time between Europe and Latin America, with a focus on validating product-market fit, strengthening the local team in Costa Rica, and building scalable operations to support Olanzo’s regional ambitions.

“I joined initially because I saw something special in the product, and because I believe in Bjorn Forslund and Christopher Laska’s vision. I’ve worked with Christopher for 15 years, so this is a team that I trust. And I know the region. With Olanzo, I see the opportunity to create something that truly makes an impact in Latin America – which is why I said ‘yes’ to coming on board for the long haul,” says Niklas.

“The intersection between payments, loyalty, and marketing tec has huge potential to improve customer experiences and drive business revenue across Latin America. This presents an amazing opportunity for technology like ours,” he adds.
